LEANNE WOODFULL - THUNDER & THREADS
Rape culture. 👇🏻 pic.twitter.com/jk3TCCUZNe— Leanne Woodfull (@LeanneWoodfull) 22 décembre 2016
Besides being in love with her style, Leanne Woodfull won my heart at being a mindful blogger. I noticed how last year, during the Paris attacks, she just stopped posting "blogger stuff" on Instagram and said she won't because she's mourning and supporting French people. And she does it all the time. She's not just about blogging, clothes and make-up. She tweets about Aleppo, Trump, feminism, geopolitics, racism, mental health... She's been bullied online for being vocal about rape culture and mental illness, and I will always stand by her side. She cares about real stuff. I like that she's connected to the real world. That makes a huge difference for me.
AIMEE SONG - SONG OF STYLE
Happy birthday to our friend @AimeeSong who's asking her community to donate $30 for her 30th birthday! https://t.co/caK7gTi70m pic.twitter.com/HUYeEtmaGu— charity: water (@charitywater) 10 décembre 2016
Following Aimee Song on Snapchat/Instastory was game-changer. I discovered that not only Aimee was an avocado addict and a food lover like me as well as a Kendrick Lamar fan, she is open-handed as well. She gathered personal hygiene products for the homeless on Thanksgiving and handed them out herself, she was vocal about Trump, racism and the Standing Rock protest (retweeting many times Bernie Sanders), she raised money to provide 1,000 people with clean water in India, she is packing warm clothes to hand out to the homeless for Christmas... I love how she lives life to the fullest, she's funny and passes on happiness through her smile, laugh, friends and family we get to see on social media. Keep doing that Aimee, we need it.
SHENAE GRIMES BEECH - LOST IN LA LA
It was kind of obvious that at some point Shenae Grimes Beech - whom I already confessed my styling-crush on - would turn to blogging. And she finally did it this year ! I like how her blog is part fashion, part DIY posts, part food and last but not least part "domestic bliss" as she calls it. It makes me wish I was in a long term relationship doing all these stuff to spice up my love life/domestic life ! You sure want to check out her blog !
