Woman Crush Wednesday #3 : Ellie Goulding

 

I heard about Ellie Goulding a few years ago, but I was so deep in my dubstep and rock shit business that I didn't give a crap about that popy singer. Until I heard her wonderful voice on Skrillex's Bangarang EP. Then, trying to wake up in the morning, eating breakfast in front of some TV channel, I saw Lights and I fell in love with that song. I know every words and watched every single one performance of this song on Youtube. Ellie is so amazing when she sings, it feels like she is in some trans or something. So last year I got a chance to see her live on stage in Paris, first row, and she amazed me.  

J'ai entendu parler d'Ellie Goulding il y a quelques années, mais j'étais tellement à fond dans mon délire de dubstep et de rock que je m'en foutais clairement de cette nouvelle pop-star. Jusqu'à ce que j'entende sa voix merveilleuse sur l'EP de Skrillex Bangarang. Après ça, en essayant de me réveiller le matin en prenant mon petit déjeuner devant une chaîne musicale, j'ai vu Lights et suis tombée amoureuse de cette chanson. Je connais les paroles par coeur et ai regardé chacun de ses live sur Youtube. Ellie est fabuleuse quand elle chante, on dirait qu'elle entre en trans. Et l'année dernière j'ai eu la chance de la voir en live sur scène à Paris, au premier rang, et elle m'a éblouie.

 

What I like about the way Ellie Goulding dresses herself is that edgy look she gives to every outfits. It's always black, or leather, or cage tops and bras, or big boots... I also like the fact that she's not afraid of wearing really short shorts (high-waisted most of the time but still) with also really cropped crop-tops. Her style is really urban, modern and it feels like she does her own thing, she finds her style and sticks to it because she feels comfortable. She also have an absolutely gorgeous body, because she works bitch ! She's into running and she's also a fitness inspiration to me. For a famous person, I find her also really quiet and low profile. I'd love to have her as a bestie (so she could introduce me to her ex Skrillex, handsome Calvin Harris, genius Ed Sheeran and hum her actual BF, Dougie Poynter). So you'd understand by then that I'm a huge fan of the girl !

Ce que j'aime dans le style d'Ellie Goulding c'est ce côté un peu avant-gardiste qu'elle donne à toutes ses tenues. C'est soit du noir, ou du cuir, ou des soutiens-gorges, ou des grosses bottes... J'aime aussi le fait qu'elle n'ait pas peur de porter des shorts très courts (taille haute pour la plupart mais tout de même) avec des crop tops très courts eux aussi. Son style est très urbain, moderne et on dirait qu'elle fait ce qui lui plait, qu'elle a trouvé sons style et qu'elle s'y tient parce qu'elle s'y sent à l'aise. Elle a aussi un corps incroyable ! Elle fait énormément de running et est une inspiration pour moi. Pour une célébrité, je la trouve assez réservée, elle fait profil bas. J'aimerais l'avoir en bonne copine (pour qu'elle puisse me présenter à son ex Skrillex, au très séduisant Calvin Harris, au génie Ed Sheeran et euh à son petit ami actuel Dougie Poynter). Vous l'aurez donc compris: je suis une grande fan !
